Bareilly district administration has ordered a probe into allegations of government land encroachment for residential colonies. Following a complaint to the chief minister, the Sadar tehsildar will investigate alleged illegal occupation of ponds, chak roads, and ceiling land in South City, Harmony Colony, and Supercity Colony. The probe aims to verify land records and take legal action against those involved in alleged connivance with revenue officials and forged reports for map approvals.
