The Delhi Drugs Control Department seized insulin stocks worth over Rs 20 lakh from six wholesale drug firms during a special enforcement drive directed by Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh. Four firms violated the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules, with insulin products bearing defaced labels meant for government supply and lacking valid purchase records. Two firms stored insulin at room temperature, breaching cold chain requirements. Samples were sent for quality testing, and legal action has been initiated against the violators.
