
During Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's two-day official visit to Pakistan, the two countries signed 28 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding covering defence cooperation, trade, agriculture, mining, disaster management, and drug trafficking. Both sides set a goal to increase bilateral trade to USD 2 billion within five years. The visit included discussions on regional connectivity, notably the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan rail link, and featured honors conferred on Mirziyoyev by Pakistani institutions.
