
Assam's economy has grown by 45 percent between 2020 and 2025, significantly outpacing the national average, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He cited RBI data showing the state's economy expanding from Rs 4 lakh crore to over Rs 7.41 lakh crore, with per capita income rising by 54 percent. Sarma also highlighted improvements in crime control, with a significant reduction in reported cases and an increase in charge-sheeting and conviction rates. He noted substantial seizures of narcotics and the identification of foreign nationals for pushback.
