Manipur Government Supports Completion of Jiribam-Imphal Railway Project by 2028

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh met with Northeast Frontier Railway officials to discuss the Jiribam-Imphal railway project, a 111-km line valued at over Rs 21,885 crore. The project aims to connect Imphal with Assam's Silchar by 2028, reducing travel time to 2.5 hours. The state government pledged full support for timely completion, highlighting the project's significance for regional connectivity and development in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
