Telangana Considers E-Scooters for Female Students and Pollution Control Measures

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stated the government is considering providing e-scooters to female college students, a Congress election promise, though it may not happen this financial year. He outlined pollution control measures in Hyderabad, including replacing 2,800 diesel buses with electric ones by December 2026, retrofitting autos to electric vehicles, banning single-use plastics inside the Outer Ring Road, and relocating high-pollution industries. The government also plans a forum for complaints about social media misinformation.
