Suvendu Adhikari Files Rs 100 Crore Defamation Suit Against Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari filed a Rs 100 crore defamation suit against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the Alipore court, alleging she linked him to an alleged coal scam without evidence. Adhikari, who previously sent a legal notice demanding proof within 72 hours, said Banerjee's failure to respond prompted the suit. He stated any damages awarded would be donated to charity. Banerjee has not publicly responded to the suit.
