Telangana Governor Outlines Urban Growth and Economic Development Plans

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla outlined Telangana's plans for sustainable and equitable urban growth amid rapid urbanisation, including the trifurcation of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to enhance governance and infrastructure. The government aims to implement the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) model and enact the CURE Act to unify urban agencies. Highlighting Telangana's economic progress, the Governor emphasized a vision for accelerated development targeting a 3 trillion economy by 2047, focusing on innovation, connectivity, and ecological projects like the Musi Riverfront Transformation.
