Delhi PWD Initiates First Structural Audit and Maintenance Plan for Signature Bridge

Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) has initiated the first comprehensive structural safety audit of the Signature Bridge over the Yamuna, nearly seven years after its opening. Following internal evaluations that revealed deterioration in road surfaces, damaged railings, and non-functional street lights and CCTVs, PWD issued a tender to engage experts for detailed inspections, non-destructive testing, and a five-year maintenance plan. IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur teams have been consulted for the assessment and maintenance recommendations.
