Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur Receives One-Year Tenure Extension

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension for Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwardeep Kaur, marking the first such tenure extension in the Union Territory's history. The extension, effective beyond March 8, 2026, follows recommendations from Punjab Governor and Chief Minister and was confirmed by the Union Home Secretary. Kaur, a 2013-batch IPS officer from the Punjab cadre, continues to serve without interruption as her original deputation ended.
