Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor has been appointed as the new Vice Chief of Air Staff (VCAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF), effective January 1, 2026. He will succeed Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, who retires on December 31, 2025. Air Marshal Kapoor, currently heading the South Western Air Command, has a distinguished career including roles in Operation Sindoor and significant flying experience.
