
Uttar Pradesh's traffic awareness campaigns have led to a significant reduction in violations, with nearly four lakh fewer challans issued in 2025 compared to 2024. The number of challans decreased from over 1.7 million to approximately 1.3 million, resulting in a collection of around Rs 454.49 crore. Key violations included not wearing helmets, seatbelt offenses, and overspeeding, with the department planning to enhance digital monitoring and awareness initiatives.
