
A woman from Beed district, Maharashtra, filed a police complaint alleging she was taken to Pimpri Chinchwad during the January 15 civic polls under the pretense of attending a self-help group meeting and temple visit. She claimed several women were transported by bus to vote for a particular party, was briefly detained by police on polling day, and released without receiving any money. Beed police confirmed the complaint and will forward it to the Pune collector for further investigation.
