A section of government doctors in Kerala, represented by the Kerala Government Medical College Teachers' Association (KGMCTA), announced plans to intensify their indefinite strike by marching to the Director of Medical Education (DME) office. They allege government apathy in addressing service conditions and pay anomalies. The doctors will relinquish additional administrative roles and submit mass resignations from such posts. The hunger strike has lasted 33 days, with ongoing boycotts of outpatient services, academic activities, and non-emergency surgeries.
