The All-India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB) has put forth several demands, including strict anti-lynching laws and protection for Muslim women's right to wear the hijab for education. At their annual convention, they also called for a review of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), action against alleged corruption in Shia Waqf bodies, and targeted welfare schemes for the Shia community. The board also urged pressure on Saudi Arabia for rebuilding a holy shrine and a committee to assess the socio-economic status of Shias.
