Left Front leaders in West Bengal protested alleged discrepancies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, claiming over 60 lakh voter adjudication cases remain unresolved. They staged a night-long dharna outside the Chief Electoral Officer's (CEO) office after initial refusal to meet them, demanding inclusion of all genuine voters before Assembly polls. After meeting CEO Manoj Agarwal, the Left Front ended the protest but vowed to continue their movement until the electoral list is fully rectified. They accused the Election Commission of bias favoring the BJP and called for transparent voter list revision.
