
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the state's first consignment of 2,000 Asiatic Lilium cut flowers from Lower Subansiri district, sent to Guwahati, which earned farmers around Rs 1 lakh. Supported by the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture, this marks Arunachal's entry into organised commercial floriculture. Additionally, the state filed a Geographical Indication application for Upper Subansiri oranges, aiming to empower farmers and boost the rural economy.
