Former Arunachal Pradesh MLA and publisher Yadap Apang was laid to rest on Sunday in East Siang district following Donyi Polo traditions. Apang, who served as MLA for Pasighat West from 1995-2000, was also a pioneer in the state's tea sector and publisher of the Arunachal Times. Dignitaries, community leaders, and well-wishers attended the funeral. The state government declared a public holiday in East Siang district on December 29 as a mark of respect.
