
The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has uncovered property tax evasion totaling approximately Rs 688 crore across 23,600 properties through two rounds of GPS-based surveys, drone imagery, and house-to-house verification. The second phase detected Rs 318 crore in evasion from 13,600 properties, with around 67,000 notices issued. To recover dues, GBA auctioned seven properties, raising over Rs 7 crore in bids. Property owners have been given 15 days to respond or appeal via an online portal, with enforcement continuing as per regulations.
