
Nandini Chakravorty has been appointed as the first woman Chief Secretary of West Bengal, succeeding Manoj Pant. Chakravorty, a senior IAS officer with extensive administrative experience, will hold the position until further notice. Pant, the outgoing Chief Secretary, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The notification for Chakravorty's appointment was issued by the Governor.
