Larry Summers, former US Treasury Secretary and Harvard University president, will resign from his academic and faculty roles at Harvard at the end of the academic year amid scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Summers, who has been on leave since November, also stepped down as co-director of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government. Harvard's decision follows a review of recently released government documents detailing Summers' communications with Epstein. No evidence of wrongdoing by Summers has been publicly confirmed.
