India has reportedly completed its nuclear triad with successful tests of K-4 submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs) from its Arihant class submarines in late 2024 and early 2025. This capability provides India with a survivable second-strike nuclear option from the sea, complementing its land and air-based arsenals. The development enhances India's nuclear deterrence posture, reinforcing its 'no first use' policy by ensuring a credible retaliatory capability against any adversary.
