Akali Dal Waris Punjab De Hosts Rally with SAD Rebel Ayali and Announces Protests

On February 8, rebel Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) legislator Manpreet Singh Ayali attended a rally organized by Akali Dal Waris Punjab De (WPD) during Maghi Mela, sharing the stage with key leaders including independent MP Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa. Social activist Lakha Sidhana also joined WPD at the event in Muktsar Sahib. WPD announced a protest march on February 10 against the imposition of NSA on jailed MP Amritpal Singh Khalsa and plans a procession on February 25 to promote Sikh unity and justice. Meanwhile, Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) spokesperson Charanjit Singh Brar resigned, citing inactivity on core issues.
