While leaders from several DMK allies attended, the Congress party boycotted the event, citing the presence of a photograph of slain LTTE leader V. Prabhakaran on the invitation. CM Stalin emphasized the need for joint efforts between state and central governments to combat drug trafficking and eradicate communal politics.
