In Kerala's Kasaragod district, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) regained control of the Pullur-Periye grama panchayat. The decision was made by a draw of lots after both the LDF and United Democratic Front (UDF) secured an equal number of votes, with one elected member abstaining from the final vote. C.K. Sabita of the LDF was declared the winner, ending a period of uncertainty regarding the panchayat's leadership.
