Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal has reportedly received death threats from gangster Goldy Brar amid the Akaal controversy. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Shiromani Akali Dal president, shared an audio message purportedly from Brar and raised concerns with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann after Grewal's security cover was withdrawn. Badal criticized the state’s law and order situation, blaming Mann for the security lapses that also preceded singer Sidhu Moosewala's death, and warned Mann would be responsible if any harm comes to Grewal.
