Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Launches Development Drive Including MRF MoU and New Policies

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched a statewide development drive including a 5,300 crore MoU with MRF for a tyre manufacturing plant in Sivaganga district, expected to create 1,000 jobs. He released the Tamil Nadu Shipbuilding Policy 2026 and Agroforestry Policy 2026 aimed at sustainable industry growth and increasing forest cover. Stalin inaugurated multiple completed water supply and infrastructure projects, laid foundations for new schemes, and opened cultural and environmental facilities including the Guindy Eco Park and a Super Tree Tower in Chennai.
