Delhi's air quality in 2025 reportedly reached its best in eight years, according to Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. He stated that PM2.5 levels decreased to 96 micrograms per cubic metre from 104, and PM10 fell to 197 from 212. The city recorded approximately 200 days with an Air Quality Index (AQI) below 200, with 79 days in the 'good' or 'satisfactory' zones. The government attributes this improvement to science-led actions targeting vehicular emissions, dust, industrial pollution, and waste management.
