BJP Announces Four Candidates for Maharashtra Rajya Sabha Elections 2026

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced four candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Maharashtra scheduled on March 16. The nominees include Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, former Nagpur mayor Maya Chintaman Ivnate, and former legislative council member Ramrao Wadkute. These seven seats will fall vacant in April. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, with a majority in the state assembly, is positioned to secure these seats. The party also named candidates from other states, including Bihar, Assam, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.
