A 60-year-old man, Sultan Sardar, died of a heart attack in North 24-Parganas district on Thursday, four days after attending a hearing for the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. His name was reportedly not in the 2002 voter list, prompting his attendance at the hearing. Family members stated he suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after returning from the event.
