
Indian Railways is launching nine new Amrit Bharat Express trains to enhance affordable long-distance connectivity across eastern, northern, and southern India. These non-AC, locomotive-hauled trains will connect states including West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. Designed for high-demand routes, they offer upgraded amenities like bio-toilets, CCTV, charging points, and improved seating at budget-friendly fares around Rs 500 per 1,000 km. The services aim to support migrant workers, students, and festival travelers by providing reliable, comfortable travel options.
