Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state's economic transformation during a discussion on the Supplementary Budget 2025-26. He stated that UP has shifted towards 'Fearless Business' and 'Trust of Doing Business,' moving away from its 'Bimaru' tag to become a revenue-surplus state. Adityanath cited a nearly threefold increase in GSDP to an estimated ₹35-36 lakh crore, a surge in per capita income to ₹1,20,000, and significant improvements in the Credit-Deposit ratio. He also noted the operationalization of ₹15 lakh crore in investment proposals, creating over 60 lakh jobs, and emphasized infrastructure development, including 22 expressways and 16 airports.
