SIT Seeks Records from SGPC in Missing Guru Granth Sahib Saroops Investigation

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the disappearance of 328 sacred Guru Granth Sahib 'saroops' visited Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) offices in Amritsar and Chandigarh. The SIT formally requested crucial records to expedite the investigation. This follows a directive from Akal Takht acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, urging the SGPC to cooperate with the Punjab government on the matter, which has caused a face-off between the state government and the SGPC.
