Ukraine Reports Large-Scale Russian Drone and Missile Attacks, Calls for Enhanced Air Defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia launched a large-scale attack involving around 430 to 500 drones and missiles, including ballistic missiles, targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure and civilian areas. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted most of the attacks, but some caused casualties and damage. Zelensky urged accelerated agreements and increased production of air defense missiles, especially those countering ballistic threats, warning that Russia may exploit the Middle East conflict to intensify attacks in Europe.
