Traffic Restrictions Enforced on Srinagar-Jammu Highway Ahead of Amarnath Yatra
Ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, Jammu and Kashmir authorities have imposed traffic restrictions on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. Heavy motor vehicles will operate only on alternate days until 7 pm, while light motor vehicles and private cars can move only when yatra convoys are not present, with phased movement after convoy clearance. Travelers must carry valid ID for verification during restricted hours. Additional curbs apply to tourist vehicles between Gulmarg and Srinagar during the yatra period.
