The Ajit Pawar-led NCP has released its first list of 37 candidates for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, scheduled for January 15. Despite being part of the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition, the NCP will contest the Mumbai civic polls independently. Other parties like AAP have also announced candidates, while Congress has allied with Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi. The nomination deadline is December 30, with vote counting on January 16.
