TMC MLA Dilip Mondal Arrested in Odisha After Weeks of Absconding Over Threat Allegations
Trinamool Congress MLA Dilip Mondal, wanted in West Bengal for allegedly threatening BJP workers and linked to a viral threat video, was arrested by the West Bengal Special Task Force in a hotel in Puri, Odisha, after weeks of absconding. His son, Arghya Mondal, was also arrested earlier for possessing illegal firearms. Mondal is the first TMC legislator detained since the BJP formed the state government, amid a wider crackdown on TMC leaders over various allegations including corruption and intimidation.
