Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has withdrawn its proposed timetable change for the Guwahati-Sairang Express, reverting to the existing night schedule. The revision, set to begin January 1, would have shifted the train to daytime operation. Commuters in Mizoram had expressed concern that the daytime travel would reduce convenience and waste a full day. The original proposal followed a meeting where the Chief Minister sought an earlier arrival time in Guwahati, but the plan has now been set aside.
