TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee has demanded that the Election Commission reveal the number of illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas among the 5.82 million voters deleted from West Bengal's electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision. Banerjee stated that the deletion rate in Bengal is 5.79%, the lowest among states undergoing the revision. He alleged that the Centre is selectively targeting West Bengal to harass its citizens, particularly after the TMC's 2021 assembly poll victory.
