Manipur's Chief Secretary announced that nearly 10,000 individuals from over 2,200 households, displaced by ethnic violence since May 2023, have been resettled. This phased rehabilitation, part of a Rs 523-573 crore package, aims for safety and stability, with support including healthcare, education, and livelihood programs. A reduction in violence since November 2024 facilitated the process, which involves house construction and direct benefit transfers. A State-Level Committee oversees the implementation.
