The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) conducted airstrikes in Tehran targeting key infrastructure of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including the IRGC Space Force headquarters. This site housed research facilities and the command center for the Khayyam satellite, which Israel says is used for intelligence against it. The strikes also hit about 50 ammunition bunkers, a Basij base, and a compound linked to IRGC ground forces. Iran's space agency has stated the satellite's purpose is border monitoring and resource management.
