An indigenous people's group in Manipur has urged Governor AK Bhalla to ensure the permanent reopening of two National Highways, citing denial of fundamental rights due to prolonged blockades amid ethnic unrest. The Indigenous People's Forum, Manipur (IPFM) stated that the closure of these lifelines has led to severe shortages of essential supplies and exorbitant prices, impacting daily life. The group plans peaceful protests and legal action if the situation does not improve, highlighting the constitutional and humanitarian crisis.
