Trinamool Congress MP Kakali Ghosh Dastidar alleged that four of her family members, including her nonagenarian mother and two sons, received notices for hearings under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal. She claimed this process is a form of harassment and questioned why her family members, who are long-time voters, were not mapped. The Election Commission is conducting hearings for approximately 32 lakh 'unmapped' voters who cannot be linked to the 2002 electoral roll.
