The Maharashtra government plans to secure a Rs 6,000 crore loan from a private institution like HUDCO for land acquisition compensation for the proposed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje International Airport at Purandar. The project requires approximately 3,000 acres from seven villages. While the Chief Minister indicated compensation would follow land acquisition laws, specific per-acre rates and farmer demands, including a 35% land return and airport partnership, remain undisclosed. A corporation for project-affected farmers and a training center for employment are also planned.
