A deadlock over seat-sharing for upcoming Pune civic elections has caused turmoil within the Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena. City unit chief, Bhangire, reportedly walked out of a meeting after disagreeing with senior leaders Vijay Shivtare and Neelam Gorhe over candidate selection. Bhangire demanded more seats for Pune, opposing a list of favored candidates submitted by Shivtare and Gorhe to the BJP, leading to a heated exchange and his subsequent departure.
