The much-awaited Rime bridge over the Hijum river in Arunachal Pradesh's West Siang district has been completed, ending years of local isolation. Constructed by the Public Works Department under the Chief Minister's Comprehensive State Road Development Plan at a cost of Rs 4 crore, the 15-metre bridge was finished in 10 months, ahead of the three-year target. The project addressed residents' demands, who had threatened to boycott the 2024 elections without the bridge. MLA Topin Ete thanked Chief Minister Pema Khandu and officials for their support, highlighting the improved road access.
