India's Defence Ministry Seeks New Long-Range Business Jets to Replace Legacy Fleet

The Indian Ministry of Defence has issued a Request for Information to procure new long-range business jets to replace the existing Embraer Legacy 600 fleet used by senior defence officials and ministers. The current jets, in service for about 20 years, support VIP and communication duties. The new aircraft will serve senior government functionaries and armed forces chiefs, with options from domestic and international vendors being considered in a phased replacement process.
