The Delhi government approved a Rs 453.95 crore project to construct a 60.77-km two-lane road corridor along both sides of the Najafgarh Drain to enhance connectivity between rural and urban areas. The corridor will link major roads including Outer and Inner Ring Roads, Shivaji Marg, and UER-II, providing access to IGI Airport and Dwarka Expressway. The project aims to reduce congestion, travel time, fuel consumption, and emissions, and includes separate tracks for walking, jogging, and cycling. Construction is expected to start by May 2026 and complete by November 2027.
