The notifications, appearing in Persian over about 30 minutes, promised amnesty for those who laid down arms. While no group claimed responsibility, cybersecurity experts and reports attribute the operation to Israel. Iranian state media and websites also faced cyberattacks amid a significant drop in network traffic.
