A public spat between Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan and CPI State secretary Binoy Viswam has escalated. Natesan accused the CPI of accepting money from him and acting against the Left Democratic Front's (LDF) interests, particularly regarding the PM SHRI scheme. This exchange follows criticism from the CPI that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's association with Natesan harmed the LDF's election prospects. Viswam countered that while the CPI may have accepted election funds, it was not illegal.
